  Went for an alignment on my 1968 Oldsmobile, which I had aligned there once before, about two years ago. This time they try selling me a “camber kit” and charging an extra $70 over the alignment price. Must have been a new guy that’s unfamiliar with older cars. They don’t use “camber kits”, they use alignment shins as part of the normal alignment process. Should additional adjustment be needed, rarely an offset upper control arm shaft might be needed at an extra cost (parts and labor), but $35 extra per side to do what’s supposed to be done anyways is silly.
  The guy got upset and said he wasn’t charging me for any of it. That’s on him, as I was happy to pay for the alignment, just not the unnecessary overcharge.
